Since having DS1, now 16 months, my periods have been less regular than they were - anything from 26-33 days. But I'm now 42 days since my last period, and wondering what is going on! I've done two pregnancy tests, last one this morning, both negative. With DS the first test I took was positive, when I was about 14 days late (he was unexpected as I had a coil, otherwise I'd probably have tested sooner).
We're not actively TTC, although hoping to start trying in the next few months - but we have had unprotected sex once this month when a condom burst.
Could I still be pregnant despite negative tests? I have no signs, but didn't with DS until about 9 weeks when the sickness hit. If not, then what could be going on? I'm not especially stressed, have had a series of colds/vomiting bug in the last month, but that sort of thing has never affected my cycle before. I'm also about 3 stone overweight, and was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid a couple of months ago - I know this can affect fertility but I'm now on the correct dose of treatment, and starting to see the weight shifting - could this still affect my cycle?
