Lightheaded and sick

Just looking for advice before I phone midwife, 34 weeks today and have been sick for the last few weeks. Some days all day and night others just small amounts have had 2 days no sickness at all. The last 3 or 4 days I have been seriously light headed and can't shake it. Tried sugary drinks and been taking my iron tablets but I feel even worse tonight. I am not sure if it's maybe dehydration but trying really hard to drink loads of water and still eat. Any advice would be much appreciated x

Advice from me would be don't wait too long before you phone your MW. They take new sickness and dizziness pretty seriously. Hope you're ok.

Urghh I know it's the thought of being in hospital at this time of year. That sounds so selfish but I don't mean to be. I'm having some food and a cola to see if it helps thank you x

You really need to have your blood pressure checked and some basic blood tests. Sickness returning in the third trimester can be a warning sign for pre-eclampsia. They will always have a triage unit open regardless of the time or year. It is normal to be tired, fed up and achy, everything else warrants a check up.

Yeah hot all the usual tired achy feelings but since Monday it's just been really bad, scared to be on my own cause I'm not steady on my feet! Just gna have to man up and phone them x

Belle2808 · 29/12/2013 17:21

Hi hawkmoth, sorry for the delay just been so ill. Eventually got threw to them on the phone today and was basically made to feel like an idiot. Said its not pregnancy related and just a bug, 4 weeks of sickness is unlike anything I've ever heard of!! She just was so unhelpful so partner is currently at my side changing the sick bucket as I drift in and out of sleep, it sucks. Too scared to be on my own! X
