I got my BFP on xmas eve (really, REALLY faintly!) but didn't really believe it until I did another test yesterday...and another two today! Got a gp appt earlier who confirmed it! eeek! I texted my sister to tell her, but am really nervous about telling my mum and dad! I've already got a DS of 8, and live with my boyfriend of 3 yrs. This was planned, and we're really excited!! But im still really nervous of their reaction.

Was anyone else worried about their parent's reaction???? Or am I just bein a wimp?? xx

Go for it, I'm sure they'll be delighted, and congratulations!!!

Thank you!! I'm such a wimp!! :) I want to tell them just in case anything goes wrong...but also because I cant hold my own water and want to tell EVERYONE! haha! Know you should wait until 12 weeks to tell friends etc...but it's different for your parents isn't it? xx

Congratulations op!!

I'm expecting dc6 but I knew we'd get a really negative reaction so I didn't tell my parents until I was 19 weeks. I had a mac in February so I knew they wouldn't be supportive if anything went wrong so there was no point in telling them.

You come across as so excited - it's lovely.

Best of luck.

Mmc not mac!?

Justpenny · 28/12/2013 10:06

I'm so so excited!! Went to the panto last night with my parents and my DS but couldn't summon up the courage to tell them!! When I had my DS I was single and it was a bit of a surprise/mistake but they were brilliant, really really supportive. But although they like my boyfriend, we've had our ups and downs over the last year and im not 100% sure that they totally support our relationship. That's what's holding me back a little bit! So sorry to hear about the mmc Shelly but congrats on DC6!!!!! xx
