So, am 15 weeks. Yesterday started getting dull pain in my right side near the ovary. Wasn't too concerned as just figured it was a bit of stretching. Cue to 6pm and it is a sharp stabbing pain. Again not too worried, just need to get off my feet. Had a bath jumped into bed pain gets worse, so call nhs direct who say go to a&e. Was there for 4 hour, they just prodded my stomach and the gyane on ward 'thinks its old scar tissue pulling' but isn't certain; however bloods all fine and no bleeding so sends me home with some paracetamol. When asking what to do when it doesn't go away she goes off to check, never comes back and the a&e staff just don't know.... So have woken up and still have this pain and really can't move from bed. It's not my appendix (removed) and not cysts as I had my ovaries checked early pregnancy (I've had previous probs).

So ladies, is this type of pain normal or should I try to find an EPU or something?

I'd call your midwife this morning and see what she says xx

Call your midwife? She should have more pregnancy knowledge? Sorry, didn't want to read and run!

you should be able to ring the maternity unit you have picked to give birth at, they r 24hrs so you will be able to speak to a midwife.

the number should be in your notes.
