Implantation Bleed

Hi there ladies,

Just a bit of advice, I found out on Saturday that I am expecting my first baby. :) (still numb, can't believe it even after 4 tests!)
I have had the tiniest amount of brown blood since last Wednesday, tiny drops really, and was just wondering how long implantation bleeds go on for? Have just tested again now (with my Mum!) and the test was positive.
Next challenge - trying to get around why I'm not drinking to all my friends during the festive season! Any one else in the same predicament?
Thanks in advance. :)

Congratulations!
I had bleeding - I think it is quite normal though.

Congrats! :) I got my first BFP not long before you on Friday. I had implantation bleeding too but just for a couple of days and it was light pink. From what I've read though implantation bleeding time/colour varies from woman to woman and some people don't have any bleeding at all. So nothing to worry about Smile

I was wondering the same thing about the alcohol predicament Xmas Hmm Even the trifle isn't safe as I watched it being made by one of my guests yesterday who laced it with a ridiculous amount of booze! I think me and my hubby might have to say we've decided to become teetotal. Haha. Merry Christmas! Xmas Smile

A little bit of spotting that settles spontaneously is quite common. Try not to worry.

For drinks, remember that people probably won't be paying that much attention to what's in your glass. You could try plain tonic (in the hope people will assume there's gin in there too) or plead bad hangover and you'll have a drink later (the enquirer won't notice if you do or don't).

Hi, I'm 5 weeks and had what I think may have been implantation bleeding. Mine lasted 1-2 days and the blood was brown, mixed in with white discharge (sorry if TMI). There was only a tiny amount of blood. From what I've read though, it can vary from person to person.

Wrt drinking, I was at a friend's house recently and mulled wine was offered. It seemed easier just to accept the glass that was given and pretend to take a few sips now and then, rather than make up some dead giveaway excuse. No-one noticed I hadn't actually drunk any of it. This may not work in all situations, though, partic if you're out and rounds / lots of drinks are involved!
