Could be a bug.

But I think you need to get your blood pressure checked as a matter of some urgency. Do you have an OOH number for your MWs?

Ring the central delivery suite at your hospital. They will know what to do. Is your vision affected at all?
DO NOT LEAVE IT!!

There should be a number for the CDS within your hand held maternity notes.

EdithWeston · 23/12/2013 05:14

Have you found someone to ring?

What advice did you get fom a HCP?

Morning all - I managed to get another few hours sleep there so only just awake and have taken another 2 paracetamol. Headache doesn't seem as bad but is deffo steely still there. I have all the number on my record book so will give them a call and ask what they suggest.

I haven't got any vision problems etc.

My midwife has just called me back. She isn't too concerned at this point - I guess I only seen her on Thursday so would the symptoms of anything serious been apparent then?

She has suggested I keep an eye to my headache during the next few hours and if it isn't clearing then to
Go to the clinic to get my bp and bloods checked.

Sorry would not take any chance a persistent headache late in pregnancy IS a worry. I would get your BP checked ASAP. Can you get to an MAU (maternity assessment unit usually in hospitals) ? Otherwise emergency GP appointment or A&E. Probably fine but needs to checked out. Good luck with your lovely baby and merry Xmas.

There is an assessment unit in the maternity ward at my hospital that I can go to without even calling ahead. I will make my way over there now.
