4+4 and fell down a flight of stairs with a Big Bang to the head?

Just a quick question to see if anyone had fallen at this stage of pregnancy with a bang?

I don't think I hit my stomach but hit my knees and my head on the floor. I now have a golf ball on the side of my head!

I don't seem to have any more cramping than I have had anyway, feel a little bit sick but think that's the shock more than anything else.

Do you think a fall at this stage could harm anything going on with the baby? I'm not seeing the GP until 7 weeks.

To make me feel even worse, I was carrying DD and she fell too and has a matching golf ball on her forehead. I feel terrible!!

At this stage everything is so deep in your pelvis that it's virtually impossible to cause problems even if you had landed directly on your stomach. Hope you and dd are ok, I'm horribly clumsy and I get even worse while pregnant! Thanks

Nah, it is a tiny dot very well cushioned inside you at this point. It will be fine. Try not to worry.

I'd worry more about your own head and your DD's. You poor things!

I'm more worried about your head than the baby. Have you checked the symptoms of concussion?

princesscupcakemummyb · 22/12/2013 15:43

i would get you and your dd heads checked asap though thats more concerning op

HalfPintPickle · 22/12/2013 15:44

Yes I've checked for concussion. Nausea has gone now, no blurred vision/ dizziness etc etc. DD (shes 3) has had calprofen to reduce the swelling, she says her head feels sore but doesn't feel sick or dizzy. I'm just mortified that I caused it! I lost my footing and down we fell!

Will keep an eye on the symptoms though and see how we go.

Thank you for your replies :)

I fell 3 times in the early stages of pregnancy. Not down stairs or anything but I did fall quite hard one of the times. Don't worry, I think there's lots
Of cushioning for the baby. It might be worth seeing the doctor or
Midwife just to check.
I hope poor dd is ok!
