Time off for antenatal classes?

Are you legally entitled to time off work for these or just medical appointments?

I've booked my NCT course and all the sessions are Monday evenings and two Sunday afternoons. There is one Friday 9.30-1 session on breast feeding which I feel gutted to miss. A friend told me I can get paid time off work for it. Really?!

I wouldnt mention that they are nct classes.
Nhs classes are open to everyone i think (mine were free) and i expect most are evenings.
Nct ones def cost money but depending on the course you choose will depend on when they are. Mine were all evenings.
I went to both nhs and nct so you can go to both if you want.
