How hard can it be?!

'Sorry we only do 31" leg as standard"
"Sorry those are on a 3 week wait"
"Sorry we only do under bump"

Tried on about 6 pairs and was so hot and bothered by the end of my disastrous shopping trip that I burst into tears.
Huge legs-tight bump band, great legs-cut off blood supply around the hips or Legs so long that I'd have to wear 8" heels!

Angry

It's bad enough that only 3 stores in local city do maternity wear...the least they could do is stock decent jeans.

Spent 2 hours online last night too and nothing. Looking for a pair of bootcut blue ones.

Anyone have any shop ideas? I'm 5'5" and a sz 16.

Got mine from mamas n papas store in Manchester Trafford centre. They seem to have a big collection of diff jeans in there .

aroha77 · 20/12/2013 18:31

I got some from Red herring in Debenhams. They are way too long for me though so going to have to turn them up xx

hubbahubster · 20/12/2013 18:33

ASOS Mamalicious. Soooo comfy. Generous size too – I'm usually a 12 (30 waist) so got a 31, but I could have actually gone down to a 28/9 I reckon.

IAmTheOneWhoKnocks · 20/12/2013 18:41

H&M are pretty good. They only do over the bump as far as I can see, and they tend to have a maternity range in a lot of stores.

Tomkat79 · 20/12/2013 18:44

Our m&p store don't stock maternity! How bizarre is that!

I tried h&m but just so long. Will have a look at asos later.

I think I was a funny shape before this bump appeared so even worse now!

Has anyone tried one of those extender things? Altho daren't try my old jeans on in case they don't go beyond my knees Shock

Thanks guys x

Seconding red herring in Debenhams. I didn't even try them on, just ordered them and they fit

CrispyFB · 20/12/2013 19:20

Mamas and Papas do the short leg length, most places don't. Even their short legs are still a tiny bit too long, but nobody does XS legs!

They often have jeans in the sale at a far more reasonable price than full price.

CrispyFB · 20/12/2013 19:21

I should add you can order M&P stuff online and get it shipped to store if they don't do maternity in store - if it doesn't fit, you can return it then and there.

schnockles · 20/12/2013 19:23

I found ASOS maternity stuff good. They also have a constant outlet section which is cheap and includes maternity wear. They do free returns too!

Topshop had the most comfy jeans and came in a 28 or 30 leg. Not sure if they do boot cut though. Might have to do with stretchy skinnies tucked into boots this winter!

Hope you find something Smile

jaykay987 · 20/12/2013 19:32

Next had the best boot cut ones for me. Again, only online but I ordered about ten pairs to a store - took them to the changing room and returned the nine rejected pairs! Smile

qazxc · 20/12/2013 19:35

Try Next they do over the bump bootcut and are online. Good luck!

moomin35 · 20/12/2013 19:45

this is probably a really thick question(dont answer that !!) but on the new look website it states like 28", 30" and 32" etc but is this the leg they are referring to or the waist?!

Inglori0us · 20/12/2013 20:17

H&M heavs are fab. I had mine shortened at dry cleanses for £6. Gap are good too but much more expensive.

Inglori0us · 20/12/2013 20:17

Dry cleaners!

slatz82 · 20/12/2013 21:19

Peacocks do a pair over bump foe £16 I have 2 pairs

summerbaby2014 · 20/12/2013 21:24

ASOS!! Mine just arrived today and they are awesome. The different leg lengths too. I'm so excited about them that DH is thinking that I'm a bit of a nut.
So comfy :)

PleaseBonkMeMoreGently · 20/12/2013 21:24

Do New Look do size 16? They are fab, and definitely do bootcut blue in a range of legs. I think the underbump are better - the overbump seem a bit looser fit though. The underbump are really comfortable round your hips, though they may just be sized right by chance.

PleaseBonkMeMoreGently · 20/12/2013 21:24

And they're online and not that dear (£15-20 a pair)

summerbaby2014 · 20/12/2013 21:29

Moomin- I guess it's leg length, particularly if it's just those 3 options. NL tend to go by dress sizes (12,14 etc).
Sizing is confusing in maternity clothes though, I went one dress up in case I get bigger later and I think ASOS sizes come up small

summerbaby2014 · 20/12/2013 21:30

Tomkat, you should try getting them online. Better range and less stressful

Tomkat79 · 20/12/2013 22:13

I've looked at NL but never any sz 16/18!

Mamaliscious ones look nice but only bootcut on asos is under bump and 33" leg! Their own website is out of stock of anything except an 8. ML do 68 jean styles...only one is bootcut...i must be so out of fashion Wink

Seems to be that quite a few places that do them.,,just none in stock.

Will continue my quest! Thanks all x
