I have a packet mix for stroganoff for tonight. Any ideas how I can cook the beef (cubed steak stuff) first to make it tender. I hate chewy beef. I can't cook it in the sauce as its a quick cook sauce and doesn't cook any longer tried it before. :-)

Could you stew the beef in a stock cube stock, drain and then do the packet thing?

Oooooh hadn't thought of that. Thanks I'll give that a gonext time. By the time dh arrived home I was that flipping hungry I could of eaten a cow and wasn't that bothered about chewy beef.
