I've been up for the past hour now with heartburn and a migraine :( urgh. I've run out of gaviscon and whatever the dr prescribed me clearly isn't working. Tempted to go downstairs and bounce on the ball - I want this baby to come now!
Please say someone else is awake to share this frustration with?!

I'm here - with an upset tummy. How many weeks are you?

alice93 · 20/12/2013 05:24

37+3 weeks and I'm predicting baby won't be here before 42 weeks :( how about you?
Upset tummy doesn't sound nice either :( hope it passes soon x

37 + 3 here and baby's head butting my cervix - owwww!

Bounce away OP! I don't know how much longer I can carry this child. My pelvic floor has been battered.

3FrenchHenD19s · 20/12/2013 05:33

Stay in bed as soon you won't be able to for a few years! 42wks would be much better for the baby's birthday in years to come. My DS is 3 tomorrow and I week like I'm going to explode with bday plans, party organising and getting ready for Christmas!

alice93 · 20/12/2013 05:34

Lucky you for having your baby low! Mine is quite content being back to back and completely free! The only upside to it is that I can always feel and watch his movements. Yep it's defo bouncy ball time - it's my baby shower in the afternoon today - I'm going to be asleep during it :/

I'm up since 3.30am. Got my c section today, bit nervous as only 34+3 and complicated operation, but excited too.

It won't be long alice and then you will forget all about the joys of late pregnancy.

Hope you feel better soon turnip

alice93 · 20/12/2013 05:38

Oo conflicting advice :') yes late January would be better, my brothers was yesterday - mine is New Year's Day, it's not the best birthday but I see myself being like my mum at 42 weeks long induction and forceps so if this baby wants to come naturally before that I'm totally up for it!

another good luck!! Sounds very exciting!! No wonder you can't sleep - it's almost an acceptable time to be up ish Hmm what time do you have to go?

Morning. 33+5 and wide awake. Just general pregnancy insomnia and hunger.

another I hope your c section goes ok and your little one is healthy.

alice93 · 20/12/2013 05:44

eeyore hello :) mm I was just thinking I'm hungry! But that's wouldn't go well with my heartburn :/ all my own fault from eating two slices of my brother's birthday cake in the evening

Thanks- feeling a bit better now, which is good because I will hear the not so gentle thud of Ds1 and 2 getting up in a minute.
Another - how exciting!
Alice I remember having gaviscon stashed e
verywhere while pregnant.
Ds1 was due Jan 20th and was actually born mid Dec!

AnotherStitchInTime · 20/12/2013 05:47

Going up at 7am, just been shaved and now got to be monitored.

Good luck to all you ladies, hope you have a lovely Christmas and sneeze births :)

EeyoreIsh · 20/12/2013 05:48

Alice I know that feeling, is so gri. Can you raid your antacid supply?

I'm never bloody hungry in the day anymore, just really in the morning. It's rather annoying.

Willabywallaby · 20/12/2013 05:55

I'm here. Woken by DH at 4 asking if I'd given DS2 cal pol already and couldn't go back to sleep. I love MN!

Willabywallaby · 20/12/2013 05:56

I'm hungry too, but not preggers.

Willabywallaby · 20/12/2013 05:57

Got to go to work later and then I'm done til jan 2nd, hooray!

Did you go and ball bounce OP?

Christobel51 · 20/12/2013 05:57

Woken by my 13 month old and couldn't settle her. Eventually caved in and gave her some milk which seems to have worked for her but now I'm wide awake! Grr!

alice93 · 20/12/2013 06:11

turnip I have already demolished two large bottles of gaviscon - I shall be buying some more as soon as it's a reasonable hour to go to the shops!
eeyore I presume antacid is what my doctor prescribed me.. (I have no idea?!) or whatever it was I took one at 4, and it's one a day apparently.. :/
willaby no bouncy ball but curled up on a nice armchair, with a cup of tea made by my dad who got up and has now gone back to bed (staying at my parents now until baby is born).

OP posts:
Willabywallaby · 20/12/2013 06:27

Wow, so if the baby's late you'll be there for another 5 weeks? Although my dad wouldn't get up in the night and make me a cuppa. He thinks putting the water on the tea bag is making tea. It is rough at the end.

My dr told me to prop up the head end of the bed.

alice93 · 20/12/2013 06:35

Yup! My DP is already a little fed up! :') but we're uni students at the other side of the country where hospitals aren't nearly half as good and everyone has gone home anyway and then DP might have to go on a conference in late jan (only if the baby is born!) so I'd prefer to stay here with a newborn rather than be alone if he needs to go!

Nope even proped pillows isn't working :( the tea helped and sitting up right, but whilst writing this I rested my head back and it's all come back again! Ugh.
