I've had a headache now for 8 days. Today it's full on migraine. It's driving me mad. I'm 17+2. Anyone had any experience of headaches at this stage? X

I had splitting headaches in my first pregnancy. It hurt to lift my head off the pillow. I went to a physio specialising in head and neck and was given some neck exercises to relieve the tension from there and whilst it didn't cure the headache it reduced them massively. Oh and up your intake of caffeine when they are bad. I'm 22+2 with dc2 and headaches are - touch wood - more sporadic but indefinitely sympathise

I'm 21 weeks and have had terrible headaches throughout my pregnancy. I've tried drinking lots of water and avoided caffeine but nothing seems to help. I'm sat in front of a computer screen all day which doesn't help and the lights in my office seem to make it worse too. I've found it gets worse when I'm tired too or stressed. I recently bought some 4head, that menthol type stick that you run on your head which feel nice and distracts from the pain a bit. My midwife said it was safe to take paracetamol too although I've not yet. Hope you feel better soon, I know how miserable a constant headache can make you feel :-(

Look in pregnancy- I posted about this the other day. I can't link because I'm on my phone but it's called "Migraine- DESPERATE". I had some good advice. It did give me heartburn but a can of coke drunk very quickly with some panadol really helped.

I had bad headaches in the 'teen weeks'. I'm now 34 weeks and havent had a bad one since about 20 weeks. Only thing that helped was taking paracetamol at the first sign of one coming on.

I had loads of headaches that went on for days in my second pregnancy. I agree that taking paracetamol as soon as you feel it helped.

A strong cup of tea and the natural roll on called forhead was the only thing that shifted mine. Worse from 8-18 weeks but get the occasional thumper at 21 weeks. Feels like your head will explode doesn't it! Hope you find something to help x

I keep getting headaches, and bizarrely they all seem to be linked to urine infections, worth mentioning to your gp/midwife.

Thanks all. Went to bed early last night as I couldn't take it anymore and guess what? Woke up this morning and it's still there. Goodness sake! I have so much to do as well and I just can't think straight. I'll try the forehead stuff. Thanks for that and re urine infections, hmmmm I have wondered about that this week as (TMI) it's been a lot darker than usual. I think I'll try to see the nurse today ahyway and have it checked. Thanks ladies x

I had headaches up until about 21 weeks, they were almost constant, no relief at all, I felt terribly low trying to manage working and my other 2 young dcs. But as soon as they went, I felt so much better and am now 29 weeks and although I'm tired and everything else, to not have the headaches makes me feel so much better.
When I had them I used 4 head and paracetamol which helped a bit, also those cooling head pad things.
But you might see them get better soon. Make sure you get checked out though.
