BFP Christmas Help

So found out today I am pregnant. I have booked doctors for Monday Morning.

Now what my issue is Ive my staff do Saturday and also my family are big drinkers, we always throw big party over Christmas so how do I get away with not drinking. I am really close to them so most excuses won't work I was thinking maybe fill wine bottle with schlor etc lol.

You can't drink when on the antibiotic metronidazole....
Or you could tell them?

Lots of 'gin' and tonics.

Is there any one person you can tell who can deflect attention from your not drinking and get you fake alcoholic drinks and drink the ones that get bought for you? That's what I did as I had 2 big work nights out planned for shortly after discovering I was pregnant, I only told 1 trusted friend.

I can second that you shouldn't drink on metronidazole! I had one drink the other day whilst pregnant and on metronidazole (forgot the rule) and thought I was dying, I felt so ill afterwards - it is a very honest excuse!!!

I just nursed a drink last New Year. I got a bfp on 30/12 last year.

No one noticed!

Nurse one drink all evening if you can.. water it down maybe? If you don't want to drink anything at all (I don't in the first trimester, but I don't feel too bad about anything at the very beginning due to no placenta etc) then perhaps discreetly tip bits away here and there into napkins, sinks, whatever is to hand.

I'd opt for the metronidazole option first but if you're worried that'll get them talking (it never worked with my friends..) then faking it is all you can do!

Becks Blue is 0% and looks and smells fine if you bring your own or are in a pub but that's tricky at a home Christmas party.
