Oh, I know how scary it is. I've bled on and off from 6 weeks onwards and I'm now 23+3. I've also had gushes of bright red fresh blood followed by three weeks solid of brown spotting. Every time it happens I rush down to the hospital (I'm on medication which puts me at high-risk of hemorrhaging) and every time everything is absolutely fine. Have they given you any indication as to why it's happening? Mine seems to be caused by a mixture of low-lying placenta and cervical erosion and the hospital are completely unconcerned- it just happens to some women in pregnancy. I've been told that it would only be of wory or a sign that something is wrong if you are losing a lot of bright red blood and having cramps so painful that it is hard to stand upright.
Just take it easy, avoid sex (if the spotting is from your cervix, sex is the number one culprit) and heavy lifting.
I'm sure you (and the little one) will be fine xxxx

Aww thanks so much Lizziekal that's reassuring to read Smile.....they have said that it could be a number of things and that some times it happens to women all the way through their pregnancies..,that I just need to rest (which is hard with a 3 year old).....they said the same to me that to ignore it if it comes and only go if it's really heavy and I get bag cramping, I just think as I'd had a few days break from it, then it's back again, just worries me Sad
