After pre-eclampsia - c-section or vbac?

I had preeclampsia with dd, who was born at 30 weeks, plus placental abrupt ion. Had emergency c section. The c section was the only bit that went ok. Poor monitoring during pregnancy, v poor after care. Now pregnant again and being pushed into a vbac ( none of my worries noted by consultant etc vbac appointment booked anyway). Has anybody got experience of vbac after preeclampsia?

Sorry, no experience here, but given how serious pre eclampsia can be I think I would be asking for a second opinion. Are you being monitored more frequently than usual by midwives?

Thanks for responding.
answer: Sort of. Now having weekly blood pressure and urine tests. But not seeing the consultant for another 9 weeks....no doubt will be seeing someone different (sigh) and will ask again then about labour options.

Just feel a bit lost in the system!
