Hi all - I'm
Currently 35 weeks and doing the final preparations for the arrival of my little girl.

I have been looking in the shops at all the lovely baby girl outfits - they are so cute! But is it realistic that you would be dressing a newborn in clothes?? Or would they be expected to wear onesies every day?

I read online that a newborn will probably need changed around 3 times a day so I don't want to be silly and buy lots of cute little outfits when I should really be concentrating on sleep suits.

What have you got for yours? If this isn't your first child, perhaps you can share your previous experience?

Thank you everyone!!!!! It's really difficult as you will know as noone really tells you this stuff. And all the shops have such pretty little outfits!! I want her to look nice and not like she isn't cared for, but I want it to be practical for me, and also warm and comfy for her.

Think I will stick up on plain vests/body suits and get some more sleep suits.... Maybe indulge in 1 more outfit in case a special occasion comes up... Smile

I'd buy as little as possible before the baby comes - you never know what size they are going to come out.

Plus we were totally overwhelmed by people's generosity - you may well get tonnes of stuff - another reason to buy very little.

Good luck Grin

YY no need to stick to plain babygro's. Petit Bateau, White company do lovely cute floral patterned ones. Jo Jo maman also do lovely velour ones which are perfect for the cold weather.

If you do end up buying lots before little one is born. I'd just leave tags on as most places will allow you to exchange for a size up etc.
