Knickers

I'm 19 weeks. I can't wear any of my knickers as they cut into bump. So I wear them pushed down but then with that and the dodgy combo of maternity trousers/ belly belt with normal trousers mean I'm always feeling everything head south. Do people buy special/ new knickers if so what?!

I'm still wearing a lot of my normal Knicks (nearly 24 weeks) and some under the bump ones from mothercare that I really like. I started off trying to wear massive ones to come up higher but found them more uncomfortable!

I got new knickers in a size up, low cut bikini style. So they were loose enough not to cut into bump. But they did sometimes feel a bit droopy if my trousers were struggling to stay up (I Didn't get on with under bump trousers but it took me a while to realise).

Thanks green and loopy interesting to know mothercare sell them... I may be coming to similar conclusion about under the bump trousers...

Yeah over the bump feel more secure don't they?! My jeans are under bump and doing fine for now, I only wear them at weekends though. My most beloved item is my new look over bump leggings, god I love them!!

Writerwannabe83 · 16/12/2013 23:14

I wore size 8 knickers prior to pregnancy and now, at 25 weeks pregnant, I'm in size 16s Hmm Grin

green - I wore over the bump leggings today for the first time and OMG, how comfortable are they?! Grin

I just bought cheapy supermarket normal knickers in a size up (and then another size up again). I found full briefs the most comfortable and in a size (or two) up they didn't cut into the bump.

CranberrySaucyJack · 16/12/2013 23:23

I wear cheap low cut knicks under my bump, and maternity leggings over the top.

DirtyDancing · 16/12/2013 23:33

At 40 weeks today I'm fully in maternity knickers from mothercare. I tried to make do, but at about 32 weeks I gave in. Mat knickers are is much more comfortable! If I'd have know I'd have bought them sooner!

Tesco big pants. 2 sizes up from normal. £4 for 5 pairs or something.

Still wearing them now and DS2 is 14 weeks Blush

iklboo · 16/12/2013 23:37

I wore x large boxer shorts. So comfy!

Tomkat79 · 16/12/2013 23:50

I am in sainsburys BIG pants....and I only undress in the dark Blush

Looked at the jojo maman ones but they are £12 a pair!

neversleepagain · 17/12/2013 13:58

I liked having knickers over my bump. Bought massive granny pants from M&S and by 34 weeks I was in a size 26 pants. Had huge twin bump.

Haha, love this post! Glad to be reading im not the only one having to size up, and up (and up) in knickers! With dc1/2 i wore my usual undies all way thru but thus time im bigger full stop now at 28 weeks so ive just bought the tesco and sainsburys cheapo ones in 2 sizes bigger than my norm.
I eyed up the full briefs but couldnt bring myself to put them in my basket, however i think that buying them is on the horizon (esp for after my section).
