Talk about every stage of pregnancy, from early symptoms to preparing for birth.

Quite possibly a stupid question....

...and I'm hoping it doesn't fall into the realm of the annoying posts that should really be typed into Google as per that other thread Grin, but is it normal in the early stages of pg for the bump to appear smaller all of a sudden?? I'm 14+4 and obviously only have a tiny bump, but it's been pretty visible for a few weeks as I'm very little and slim; now it seems smaller Confused. Haven't lost any fluid or had any bleeding or anything.

Yes it did that to me !

I think its because you are so bloated at the start of your pregnancy the ' bump ' varies in size a lot.

At 12 weeks some nights I looked 6 months pregnant and then I would look 3 months in the morning. Im very slim too so I was very aware of my bump. Dont worry :) xxx

Absolutely. I had a bigger bump at 8 weeks than at 12, I think it was mainly gas!

Maybe you aren't as bloated as you were in early pregnancy, hence the reduction in tummy size. I am very slim too and current 37+3 but only put about 15/16lbs on thus far. I didn't get a proper bump till about 20 weeks but my tummy was quite bloated in first trimester then that went and tummy reduced before bump started appearing.

I had a huge bump at 8 weeks! Then it went down after a week, was just bloating and podge :(
