Try Zantac works much better than gaviscon you can take both together.

Aw Hun I feel your pain! I'm nearly 30 weeks and last night I got hardly any sleep due to heart burn, I've ran out of liquid so only have tablets which aren't as good, I'm off to get some prescribed from drs on Monday as it's £8 a bloody bottle! I'm hoping the next 10 weeks fly by as I'm sure you do :) not long now!!! Xxxx

Stom91 · 14/12/2013 22:48

Have you tried omeprazole? You can get it on prescription. Take one a day. It's bloody amazing. I was having hurt burn really bad to the point I was nearly sick. Started taking these and I have had any since.
Definately worth an appointment.
I was feeling how you're feeling I'm now 39 weeks and desperate for baby to arrive lol

get checked for signs of pre-eclampsia

sunflowered · 15/12/2013 06:40

I was going to suggest omeprazole too - after struggling for a few weeks on gaviscon and zantac, omeprazole from the gp last week has cured my heartburn overnight and it's made life 100% better Smile

sophs37 · 15/12/2013 17:29

thanks ladies.im going to get to the doctors this week n ask for that stuff
xx

Gaviscon works great for me!

Doctorbrownbear · 15/12/2013 20:18

Also Gaviscon can combat a bit of nausea for me as it settles the stomach a bit.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 15/12/2013 20:22

If you run out of antacids, try a spoonful of honey. I was really surprised when someone suggested it to me but it really worked.
27 weeks here and feeling utterly grim!
I'm flat out working through till Christmas, my hips are shot, my stomach muscles have given up the ghost, my back is knackered, I'm not FL getting enough sleep and I can only manage a few mouthfuls of food before I'm full!
AND, im facing Christmas with the dreaded ILs without any alcohol! Sad Sad
