Which TENS machine?

Does anyone have any TENS machine recommendations? I'm keen to use one for as long as possible in labour.

Also, is it worth buying one? I used to get awful period pains so could I also use it for those? Thanks ladies x

I bought an Elle tens machine off eBay. Very easy to buy new sticky pads for it. I only spent roughly the same as I would to hire one and I've used it twice and two friends have borrowed it. I'll keep lending it out and when I have periods again I'll use it for my back I should think.

I hired a mama tens. It was great. I imagine they are much of a muchness though and have heard good things about elletens too. It was only half as expensive to hire as to buy though so should have bought one.

I hired a mama tens from boots- really straightforward hire process and it worked like a dream for both ds1 and ds2. Planning on it again for when this dc makes an appearance.

Watch out though as some women find the "buzz" that it makes on your skin totally off putting and I don't think there is any way of telling until you try. I was just grateful that I didn't mind it at all!

Good luck.

I hired one off the internet - much cheaper than Boots or Mothercare and just the same!
