Mucas Plug to Labour

Just noticed a small snotty/jelly looking bit at the loo. Called MW and she thinks it could be my mucas plug starting to come out. She says it could all come out at once or slowly over a couple of weeks.

I am 37 weeks and hoping to keep baby cooking till 39 weeks when I am booked for a CS.

Jut wondering how long did it take you to go into labour once you started losing your mucas plug?

Thanks LPP

For some people it's weeks.

For my sister (because we were talking about it today) it was 8 or 9 days.

For me it was after my contractions had started.

My plug went at 3pm ish (although I didn't know at the time), waters went at 10.30pm ish, contractions started at around 3am and CS at 9.30am.

All at 36 1/2 weeks.

Good luck! Grin
