6 weeks pregnant and bleeding

I'm 6 weeks gone tomorrow I had a bit of bleeding 2 days ago as if it was the start of a period with bad cramps. Then had nothing yesterday and it's just started again today, but no cramps. I have a scan for tomorrow but am starting to panic a bit not even though there hasn't been much. Has anyone had anything similar?

Hey. IM 5 and a half weeks gone and started bleeding last Thursday. I had a scan a Sunday and all looked ok with a scan. Just an empty sac. I had another scan today and there is now a yolk sac so despite bleeding things are progressing. Still worrying though as bleeding still there. They told me as long as not heavy its ok. Would be good to hear if anyone has had this and baby been fine and gone all the way though x

When I went to the doctors they wasn't exactly reassuring and I was less worried today till it started again, I just want to know what's going on! It's so scary isn't it. My doctor did say it could be your body thinking it should be having a period but I would have been due about two weeks ago ?? I will keep you updated and let you know what the outcome is tomorrow. Fingers crossed x

My doctor told me i was due a miscarriage! Charming! Yes let me know. I am due another scan in a week. Hate the waiting. Its all i think about and keep going loo to check x

I had bleeding at 6/7 weeks, she's currently 4.5 months and snoring next to me in her travel cot. Xxx

Oh that's awful Katie I really do hope they have got it wrong god doctors really have no people skills at times!!!?? thank you sanch that is reassuring when did the bleeding stop for you? X

Have had bleeding at 7 weeks twice - once was bad news, the other good (dd1 now 11!) Fingers crossed, X

Went to hospital today for a scan but couldn't see anything yet as they think it's too early days so got another one in a weeks time but had a blood test today and got another in 48 hours to keep an eye on my hormone levels. They said the only thing I need to be careful of is eptopic pregnancy but they don't think it's very likely. But either way I am still pregnant just need to wait and see now :( hope this helps xx

I bet you feel better about that. Is the bleeding still continuing? Hopefully all will end up ok for both of us..going to be a long week! X

I know tell me about it!! Haha at least i will hopefully have a bit of reassurance from the blood tests no not really just spotting now really but it's normally at night rather than in the day which is strange! What about you? X

I think mine has stopped..fingers crossed. It did get to a point though i rushed out to get happy wise pads and had a cry then it stopped! Been awful x

I bled at 6 weeks and had period pains through most of pregnancy and I was overly paranoid, but she is here, three months old, live and kicking!

Just had blood test results back :( hormone level is only at 62 so they think I've miscarried but got to do another blood test tomorrow so won't know for definite till Saturday! But what will be, will be. Hopefully there will be an increase but not too optimistic xx

Thanks for your input everyone. Really helpful. IM so sorry to hear that. I will keep my fingers crossed for you as iv read where many stories over past couple days where things turn out ok after a bumpy start. X

It's nice to hear something positive! But on the phone the lady didn't seem like there was a possibility I was but I would love to prove her wrong! Lol good luck and keep me updated on how you are and thank you for your support will let you know the outcome when I get my next results :S xx

Hey just wanted to say that at 7 wks a blead told mc but nope it wasn't I blead on anf off during my pg even with no movements but here she is almost a year and stiring in her cot :) goodluck xx

Just wanted to update anyone following this thread or who might stumble across it. I had a second scan today and they saw baby and heartbeat. Hcg levels were up and the bleeding has stopped. They said once a heartbeat is seen the chances of miscarriage do drop again. And i had a lot of bleeding so there can be hope if anyone experiences this even though its scary x

awww thats brilliant news!!! im so happy for you both! unfortunately my pregnancy was over before it started :( but its just one of those things im so glad it has worked out for the both of you! thank you for your support though ladies i really do appreciate it good luck :D xxx
