Hi everyone, over the last 2 weeks I've been getting this weird taste in my mouth. It's usually after meals and feels like it's at the back of my tongue. No matter what I eat it's the same after taste, hard to explain exactly what it tastes like but it's not nice! Does anyone get anything similar and know how to get rid of it? I'm 9wks at the moment

Quite common in early pregnancy. I had that for the whole first trimester! Hope it gets better soon

Metallic?

I had this when pregnant with DD. And not with my DSs...

I had a lingering aftertaste of mature cheddar cheese for weeks.

It passes, but sorry I didn't find a cure!

Yeah, I guess it is kind of metallic. It's really nasty and just wanted to know how soon it'll pass really

I'm 7+3 and have had it for a few days. I clean my teeth a lot but it's still there. Nasty!

I had this on and off the whole way through, but found one thing that helped - crunching an almond. No idea why or if it was just me, but possibly worth a shot!

I had this a lot also at around 9 weeks. It gets better. Super spicy food was the best way to get rid of it. Exta hot nandos, hot sweet chilli sauce, Doritos chilli heat wave etc. Drinking squash instead of water helped too.

Try sweet chilli sauce with philidelphia on a ritz cracker. It's the best thing ever, but maybe that's just me :)

I've found the bad taste has gone but has been replaced with a super sensitive sense of smell, (around 13 weeks now).
