I am 34+3 and have suddenly developed massive piles. Seriously though, they are huge! Anusol cream is doing very little and they are so uncomfortable and itchy. Any advice?

aww, you have my sympathy. Sad
no advice but watching as anusol seems to be doing sod all to help me.

I went to dr as I had the most horrific ones which were also thrombosed !
Went to dr and got prescription stuff. Still didn't do an awful lot but did a hell of a lot more symptom relief than the over the counter stuff

May have to mention it to the Dr when I go to my final growth scan on friday.

I feel your pain...I got them when pg with dd...she is now 2 amd they are still there!!! I'm pg again and they are worse than ever. I've tried everything non pres and prescription and nothing does much!

I had this too. Found germaloid cream better than anusol (sort of numbing) and the dr prescribed me steroid cream, which was fine for use when pg. it's embarrassing, but the dr has seen it all before and it's worth getting them checked. I was worried about labour, but I didn't notice them during the birth of my DS, they flared up a bit after birth but soon went down and haven't been a problem since. Hope it's the same for you OP.

So do I Sid I had a look in the mirror and they are very obvious. It's putting me off getting intimate with DH in case he sees them!

I feel your pain, 32 weeks here and have thrombolised ones, I went to the docs last week and came away with 7 prescriptions :o
The doc said they were the worst she'd seen in ages and would normally be removed straight away, if I wasn't pregnant.
I was given co-codamol for the pain, uniroid suppositories, uniroid cream, a numbing cream to use before a bowel movement, movicol and senna to keep everything moving, I've also got some special wipes which are quite soothing although I have to wash myself with the shower head after as it's too sore to touch :(
This is DC4 for me and definitely the last, I couldn't go through this again, so undignified.
