Experiences of induction when cervix high and closed?

Hi all
I'm 41+1 with my first and had a failed sweep yesterday. My cervix was still high and closed so mw couldn't do it. I'm now resigned to the fact nothing is likely to happen until my induction on Thursday.
Just wondered if anyone had experiences of being induced when cervix is still high and closed? I have no idea on any details as not been told anything! Is it liked to take days?

I was induced at 36+4 (failed) and then +6 with my third baby.

I was told my cervix was "unfavourable". The first time I had a few contractions but nothing much. The second I was given the pessary at 6am, she was born at 6.30pm.

I'm not sure if it being my 3rd rather than first made any difference?

Same situ here, cervix high and closed, couldn't do sweep at 41weeks. Induced at 41+3, but it didnt work..4 pessarys just didn't do enough to even dilate me to break waters so I had to have a c section! Never mind, had a lovely healthy baby xxx

Oh no- was hoping for some positive experiences lol!
Worried now it won't work and c section is only option :s

Hi blondie I'm in a similar(ish) boat. My cervix isn't playing, although this is my 3rd so I'm 1cm dilated as is quite often the norm when you've had babies before, it's posterior. I've had 2 sweeps but there'd been no change between the 2, and the midwife said she didn't think I'd been going into labour on my own. I'm 40+9 today with induction booked for Tuesday.

I'm trying to keep positive that lots can change between now and then, I could have my baby before Tuesday, or my cervix could be more favourable and the pessary will take effect on Tuesday morning.

I hope someone comes along with a positive induction story
