How easy to tell the gender yourself at 20 week scan?

At our NHS trust they won't tell you sex at 20 week scan.

But I would like to know so dh and I tried to get a good look when she scanned that area.

Baby had bottom to us and legs apart. Couldn't see a penis or anything that looked like one between the legs.

Would we be mad to presume a girl?

if it was a boy it wud be obv if the legs were open i have a son and at my 20 week scan which was done at 21 weeks you couldnt miss it lol plus you can look at the shape of babys head etc but tbh if you wherent told id just pay for a private scan

Sambababy - I wouldn't worry about seeing stuff anyway, it's all quite hard to make out!
