Am 7+6 with first baby so very new to all of this! I really don't want to turn into one of those people who worries about everything but seems I've had no choice so far! Wink

anyway going out for dinner on Sunday and have pre ordered chocolate mousse. Can I eat it? The only risk is salmonella right, which doesn't actually harm the baby?

It's unlikely to harm the baby. But there is a degree of risk. You have to decide what you are comfortable with

I think it kind of depends on how posh a place you're eating at. Is it likely they made it from scratch or do you think it'd be bought in. If from scratch they'd probably use raw eggs. Eggs in the UK are usually immunised so should be fine, but that's the risk, but very low. If it's mass produced it will probably be made with powdered egg and would be fine.
