Pregnant with baby #4! Anyone else

So when we had our first child, life was great and we decided to try for another. Ended up with twins! Now the loves of our lives will be joined by a new bother or sister in July 2014 (unplanned pregnancy) and I'm kind of sh*ting myself about how we are going to cope.

We have DS 4, DS 2, DD 2.

Anyone else pregnant with number 4 or have 4 under 5? Eeek...

I'm still brewing number 1 at the moment, but wanted to pop by and say congratulations on number 4! I'm sure you'll sail through, the age gap between your kids means your oldest should be able to help out a little, and I'm sure they're all really excited to get a new baby Smile best wishes to you all.

Me! I have dd 8, ds 4 1/2, dd 20 mths and due next month! They not as close as yours but god the elder two drive me crazy!

8 months pregnant with DS4 here. DS1 is 9yo, DS2 4yo and DS3 2yo (nearly 3). I was rather apprehensive shitting myself at first - also unplanned Confused. But now I figure how much more difficult can one more tiny little person be? Famous last words I know, but really, my life is already chaotic, noisy and full of boys - one more is hardly likely to rock the boat Grin. And you've already had twins! This singleton will be a doddle are you absolutely sure it's only one? Grin

Congratulations Onetowthree(four)! Wow, your DC's will enjoy a new baby, DC1 was 4 when DC3 arrived, they all play really well together. DC1 will be nearly 7 when DC4 is due.

Slightly worrying about how to cope, this is new car territory too, I've also given away/sold nearly every last baby item. I will be using the sling again, I guess you might have the sling and a double buggy.

Thanks for your messages and support!
Well, that's what I'm hoping that - one more shouldn't rock the boat too much and seeing as they are all close in age, I already have anything in place. And yes, I've managed with twins almost single handed (hubby works long hours) I'm sure I'd be able to cope with one more. Although....I haven't had the a scan yet, only 7 weeks, I'm hoping there is only one in there. [Confused]
Hubby is shi*ting himself. We already have a 7 seater so that wont change for a while. But how do I take them all out?

Have to try and find that sling.

Hi Onetwothree!
I'm 20 weeks pregnant with DC4, though I've had several losses and it's actually my eight pregnancy.
I found myself unexpectedly pregnant last year(we thought we were getting past it!) so it was a surprise, though very welcome. I sadly miscarried and we decided to actively ttc. After a few more miscarriages we decided to give up but then I became pregnant again and this time it's all progressing normally so far.
Our age gaps are very different to yours, DS 20,DD1 14,DD2 10. Baby is actually due a week after DS's 21st birthday!!!
At least we'll have a few resident babysitters!
At 7 weeks,if you didn't want to wait for the NHS scan you could have a private scan to check if it's a singleton and not twins.....or even triplets!!

I am 20 weeks with DC4, due in April on St Georges day!
I have DS1 6yrs, DD1 just 5yrs, DS2 18months, and DD2 on the way. Canny wait, nervous but more excited I think! Smile

Hi! I'm 22 weeks pregnant with DC4, very much a surprise baby!

DS1 is 10, DD is 7, DS2 is 13 months!

I was in denial for a few weeks though but we are slowly getting into it. DH got me a Landrover Discovery to cheer me up GrinGrin. It seems like it'll work out ok for my family as DS2 will have a little brother to play with as the older 2 are much more closer.

Congratulations

Hello. I'm just pregnant with dc4. My others are 10, 8 & 5. Very excited about doing the baby thing again! Due early August. Congratulations.

Bakerof3pudsxx · 07/12/2013 08:49

Congratulations

Any woman who goes past dc3 is brave in my eyes!

Jellybellyrbest · 07/12/2013 09:05

Me too! DD8, DD6, DD19mths & I'm 26 wks preg with DS1. Unplanned & can't believe I'm going back to the toddler & baby scenario again. Found DD3 easier as the two older girls were more independent. Have to say, school/after school stuff worries me as DD3 HATES the car & it's been diff. How I'll do it & stay sane with toddler & newborn I don't know. But I will! Had also given away/sold most things…need a double buggy & carseat & I'm dreading stat mat pay AGAIN. But…a lovely snuggly newborn & our first boy make it all
worthwhile :-))

CrispyFB · 07/12/2013 11:42

Me! DD 7, DD 5 and DS 2.5. We always planned on four. This one is another girl and I'm 24 weeks. I think it helped DC3 was quite easy compared to the girls - if he'd been "high needs" like DC1 or hopeless at sleeping like DC2 we may have reconsidered. Hoping for the best Smile

We already have the people carrier from DC3 and we moved into a bigger house last year so shouldn't need to make many changes.
