Hi ladies,

Basically I've been off my pill now for 8 weeks, my last period was on the 13th November so I'm next due 11th December. Me and my husband had sex on the 29th which would work out to be around my ovulation dates. 2 days after I had awful awful cramping on the lower right side of my abdomen. I have been feeling a bit nauseous but I don't know if that's linked to possibly being pregnant as I know it's too early for symptoms. I also know I can't take a test until next week as it will prob be negative but I'm eager to know, anyone had this before??

This would be my 1st pregnancy.

Thanks ladies :) xx

Ooh go on, take a test.... Might be negative but my first was, positive a few days later!

Really, wow! I didn't know they would show up that early, if I was I would only be 1 week. :s I'm nervous!!

Too early to test yet I think. Twice I've tested too early and convinced myself I wasn't pregnant but actually was. I'd wait until no earlier than 3 days before AF due and do a digital.

I think I'll hang on until next week, is the cramping a normal symptom of conception though? It was really strange and never experienced it before xx

The cramping is more likely to be ovulation pain with it being so close to when you thought you would ovulate - it takes about a week to 10 days for the egg to implant. Fab to know you're ovulating so quickly after coming off the pill, and its great if you get ovulation pains as if its not your month this month, you can make sure to time things right next month :) Fingers crossed for you!

I agree with rockchick it sounds like ovulation pain (known as Mittelschmerz) as it would be way too soon for it to be implantation. I get it some months and can be quite painful. Good luck xx

You've had unprotected sex at the right time of the month so yes, you could be pregnant (hooray!) but the only way to know is to POAS.

For what it's worth I had terrible crampy pains on my left side the month we caught Smile I hadn't had anything like it before.

But I honestly would really, really recommend waiting until your period is late before testing. I know it's SO tempting but I tested early (good old first response) and then spent 4 days scared I was going to come on as usual! Fx.

Thank you for all your advice, I thought it was likely to be ovulation pain just never had it before. I will update you all after taking the test, fingers crossed!! Xx

Ok so today I have had a dull cramping pain in my lower middle abdo all day and it's keeping me awake, I was convinced I'm going to start my period which isn't due until Wednesday but I haven't!! I'm so confused!!

You won't be confused on Wednesday when you POAS!

Honestly if you are pregnant, the deed is done and all you can do now is relax and be patient until you test. Every body is different so we can't say yes or no, you're in the best place to judge but symptom spotting will eventually drive you insane

If you really can't wait (and I don't think you will!) i'd avoid the Clear Blue digi as I know a few people who've had false negatives when they tried to test early.

Good luck!

Emily - I've had those exact pains too, and due (I think!) on the 10th. That's when I think I'll test anyway.

Keep us posted Wink
