If you aren't keeping fluids down then you should see a doctor, you might be getting dehydrated. In the meantime, I always found milk was great To keep down (I had hyperemesis)

BikeRunSki · 04/12/2013 23:37

I had hyperemisis too, both pg, and could only drink fizzy water. Nothing else at all, then could manage grapefruit juice after about 20 weeks.

BikeRunSki · 04/12/2013 23:38

Drink whatever you need to to stay hydrated.

icklekid · 05/12/2013 03:22

Try ice cubes/ ice lollies they have been amazing and on doctors recommendation

SmallBee · 05/12/2013 03:35

This happened to my SIL as well, she ended up on sparkling water, you can always add a squash/cordial for flavour.

2blessed · 05/12/2013 03:40

Yep, been there. The only drinks I can keep down at the moment are fizzies and anything milk based. The main thing is to stay hydrated.

Josie314 · 05/12/2013 03:54

I lived on caffeine free diet coke for months. If you want normal water, try drinking it a half glass at a time. That was the only way I could manage it.

BananaPie · 05/12/2013 04:10

I had this. It didn't last past the three month point.

Mogz · 05/12/2013 04:14

I had this, drink whatever you can that you can keep down. You may find that putting some cordial in the water helps, I found making hot ribena was the trick when it got really bad.

QuietNinjaTardis · 05/12/2013 08:14

I couldn't drink water either. Lived on strawberry milkshake for the first 14 weeks.

lizziekal · 05/12/2013 08:21

First trimester I couldn't drink still water but was okay on fizzy water.

Strongecoffeeismydrug · 05/12/2013 09:09

I don't
Like water , or pop or any type of juice.
I've just been drinking lots of skimmed milk or a few cups of cold green teaWink( sounds awful but it's very refreshing).

FizzyBoobly · 05/12/2013 09:11

Had the same here, the mere thought of water made me feel nauseous. Add some squash to it though and I'd be fine

whereisthewitch · 05/12/2013 09:15

Try it ice cold. ..I put bottles of water in the freezer for a few hours and just before they freeze take them out. The water will be ice cold and much easier to drink or I would add some diluted juice to it.
Ice pops are great too I always have a stash now they help with the nausea.

Hawkmoth · 05/12/2013 09:18

Or try it warm. I kept pint glasses on top of the radiator. Also was compelled to drink from the shower, but since this is disgusting I won't recommend it.

SliceOfLime · 05/12/2013 09:19

Try taking tiny sips through a straw?

Hi I had this too. I discovered that adding just a tiny amount of cola to the water helped keep it down. Also had it hot. Even a tablespoon full was sufficient.

moreyear · 17/12/2013 08:38

I had this with both my pregnancies, it's horrid.

Icy cold and sparkling helped me keep it down. I also drank soda water a lot and I only took tiny sips.
