Sorry this sounds like such a stupid thing to ask but I'm a first time mum baby not due till April but want to make a start planning after Christmas.

Every body has already gone and got me baby clothes to the point when I have a look in shops I don't know what to get.

Could you give me a list of things I NEED for baby's arrival.

I need to make a massive list but I get a block when I try to plan.

I am the youngest I n my family and was always the baby so I don't have any experience with children apart from with friends. So I'm totally clueless. Again sorry lol

Somewhere for baby to sleep? Crib, Moses basket, carrycot or whatever you decide..

Car seat?

Onesies, mittens, hat?

Muslins?

There's not a whole lot babies need right away, but I'm sure others will add to the list. My sister wrote out a massive list for me, but not everything is essential, especially right in the beginning.

If you're looking for a massive list of all the things you could possibly need, this might be helpful: www.johnlewis.com/inspiration-and-advice/family/archive/nursery-checklist

Somewhere to sleep - your bed (made safe)/Moses basket/crib/cot plus sheets and blanket

Something to wear - sleepsuits and vests, hat, cardi

Something to travel in - car seat/pram/sling

Something to eat - boobs/bottles+formula+steriliser

For you - maternity pads and breast pads.

Those are the bare essentials IMO.
