I caught the bug. It's the usual sort of bug teachers like me pick up from snotty children. High temp (but not fever), headaches, runny nose and very sore throat. Normally I dose myself up on lemsip max strength and ibuprofen and battle on. But at 26weeks preg I'm at home in bed.
Thing is I have to go to an important meeting tomorrow (involving a 2 hour train journey).
Any tips on what I can dose myself up with?
I'm considering going crazy and drinking caffeinated tea on the basis I've been on de-CAF so long it might make an impact?

You can take paracetamol-based painkillers and flu remedies that don't contain ephedrine (or similar decongestants). You can drink copious amounts of honey and lemon and rub Vicks on your chest and that is about it.....

Ibuprofen, aspirin and most regular flu/cold tablets are off limits because they can be harmful in pregnancy.

Try the Boots version of Lemsip as it only has paracetamol. I like to add a teaspoon of honey to it.

Hot honey lemon and blackcurrent... actually, Hot sugar free Vimto with honey and lemon lol brilliant stuff, good way to get some vitamin C into you, honey to sooth a sore throat, lemon to cut through the gunk... try it :)
