Am hoping someone can help/shed some light on this one. Was looking through my maternity notes this evening and have got myself all stressed out (chronic worrier alert).

At my booking in appt, based on my LMP my due date was estimated by my midwife as 27.01.14. At dating scan they revised this to 22.01.2014 and no change was made at 20w scan. Taking that date into account, I'm now 32+5. My midwife appts seem to be following the no of weeks I am if the EDD is 22nd too - ie my 34w appt is in just over a weeks' time iykwim.

I sent my matb1 into work some time ago, but took a photocopy and have this evening noticed that the date on it is 28.01.2014??? Am not sure if this is just a simple error or if there's a reason why the midwife would've used this date. Fwiw she's recently told me I'm measuring 2w ahead (fundal height thingy) although this was well after she'd issued the matb1.

My main worry is whether they will 'use' the matb1 date (28th), or the EDD date from the scans (22nd) if it comes to booking me in for an induction....?

Hope this makes sense. Sorry for the boring rambling!

I think your matb1 form is just for work and benefits etc, and that the hospital would go by the dates on your dating scan for anything like an induction.

DH has got some work stuff coming up which is fairly career - changing and has based dates on dc arriving 14 days after 22nd at latest, hence reason for query. Aside from this, am abit unsure if it matters if matb1 is wrong?

The date on your form should be the Sunday before your due date (that's what it says on the form). So if you are due on the 22nd the Sunday before is the 19th.... That's what should have been on your form. I don't think it should matter for your maternity pay unless you were wanting to start your mat leave early I.e. At 29/30 weeks... But as you are already 33 already the difference shouldn't matter iykwim.

Your due date for medical stuff should be recorded in your notes and that is what the hospital will go by... That should have been updated after your scan so I would check your notes...

Thank you lady. Spoke to midwives today and confirmed it's just an error-they have the correct (scan) date recorded for purposes of healthcare/induction etc
