Has baby gone breech- how can I tell?

I'm Due dd2 in around 2 weeks so I'm 38 weeks atm.
I've been having horrible stabby pains really low and almost as if she's kicking the birth canal (well, that's what it feels like)

I'm concerned that she's breech as I never had this with dd1.

I've been a little over confident with this pregnancy and haven't been to doc or midwife since 20 week scan Blush as I've felt so well etc
Just wandering if there's a way of telling myself or if I need to book in with GP to get it checked out.

How did the midwife appointment go?

MadBannersAndCopPorn · 05/12/2013 14:09

Having it in an hour or so...Fryingpan fingers crossed. The deep kicking has continued and trapped nerves in both legs

Ended up readinghimynmeisfred's thread. Poor thing... Definitely would go straight for the CS after reading that and other stories surrounding it.

That's what I am worried about too Shelly having 5 others to look after is a massive handful let alone after major surgery- you're presumably between 30 and 34 weeks? Maybe baby will turn on it's own- it seems up to about 36 weeks this is possible

Good luck! I always feel better when I have some sort of game plan, just reading about the options gives you somewhere to go

Baby's in the head down position apparently. The midwife said she could practically feel ears.

I'm pleased that I can still have a vaginal birth and baby is head down and happy but have learned a very valid lesson and if I ever have DC3 Shock I'll keep up with my appointments. Blush

Now all I need to do is try and get this baby to shift before Xmas so I can relax...

Brilliant news!

Good news!

Google 'spinning babies' - they recon they have techniques to assist your baby to turn itself (only glanced but lots of leaning over birthing balls & 'pelvis opening'!).
Might be worth a look for anyone concerned?

Sorry... And great news Mad! Glad your baby's in the right place!

MiracleOntheM4 · 06/12/2013 11:13

Great news Mad.

Nothing working for mine so far. Acupuncture, spinning babies recommendations etc. but her head firmly up by my rib cage. Three days to turn!

Shellywelly1973 · 06/12/2013 11:29

Im glad everything went well at your appointment.

Im almost 33 weeks Mad so I've got a bit of time. Im strangely ok about it now. You know what , they all come out & as long as everyone's ok is the most important thing.

Take care & I hope baby pops out soon!

Thankyou Shelley, you're right as long as everyone is healthy and well- that's all that matters.
