For the last few weeks I've been snoring really loudly (apparently) and it's driving him insane!! He says he's waking every few hours because of me and it's really bad Blush haha!!! I say this is revenge for him sleeping blissfully a few months back while I made endless toilet trips throughout the night, I'm getting my own back. I'm neatly 35 weeks, I'm guessing it's baby pressing on my lungs!!!! Anyone else driving there fella mad!!!

Tell him to stop whinging and get some ear plugs!

or ask him would be like some cheese with his WHINE!

Mogz · 03/12/2013 16:18

In the short term get him some ear plugs but in the long term you should mention to your MW that you've started snoring as it points to restricted air flow getting in to you which could be starving you and baby of oxygen. It probably is just the added weight of baby but sometimes these things can be because of an underlying problem so best to mention it and see if its worth checking out. Try sleeping on your side or in a propped up position if you have to sleep on your back, this will help keep your airways open.

Apparently I snored during my last pregnancys... these from boots helped (really unglamorous purchase!).

I've been snoring like a drain since 25 weeks and driving my husband mad. Mentioned it to MW and she said it is just the relaxin that the body produces to relax your pelvis/ligaments relaxing the tissues of your soft palate. Grin

Im just jealous that you are sleeping!

angelopal · 03/12/2013 17:42

My dh is a really light sleeper and has been in the spare room for ages as I am to noisey and restless.

blondebaby111 · 03/12/2013 18:02

Thanx for the info mogz, I never really thought of mentioning it to midwife.
He's not really moaning but I can just tell he's a bit grumpy about it first thing in the morning and feel so bad!! Not!! I will try sleeping propped up and yeah I guess I'm lucky I am sleeping but I also do wake up a lot too, I have a feeling I actually wake myself up snoring, either that Irvin being shoved and I don't realise it haha!!

I have woken myself up with my snoring :)

Mogz · 03/12/2013 18:28

No problem, my DH is about to start some sort of treatment plan for his snoring as he is stopping breathing whilst he's doing it, I didn't really know that could happen before so now I feel like I should let others know that it's best to get checked!

Applepiesky · 03/12/2013 19:12

Keep waking myself up with my snoring too! It's horrible! But kinda funny!

AFergie · 03/12/2013 19:38

I could have written this post! Been snoring for a few months now, getting worse and worse however the last 8weeks ive been struggling with breathing and had to go back on my asthma inhalers to try and help. I thought it was just due to big baby pressing on lungs and ribs-but will mention this to midwife

I feel so guilty that other half is wakened by me and he also goes to the spare room to get some kip before work. ive more than once woken myself up with horrendus noises! Mortified O_O

Totally safe blondebaby , they are just strips that open up the nostrils (lovely...), but it did the trick with my pg snoring.
