Strange tingly sensations...a symptom of early pregnancy??

Hi everyone,

I am TTC #1 and am on 8/9 DPO. Yesterday afternoon I started to get strange tingly sensations (like very mild palpitations). This morning they are still there and slightly stronger. The tingly is kind of all over, particularly my chest and arms and hands. I've also felt a bit wobbly today when I stand and walk about.

Apart from this, I have a metallic taste in my mouth and lots of saliva (but I know this can be from the conception vitamins) and I've also been having mild AF cramps from day 3/4 past OV. That's all symptom-wise. Obviously I'm hoping this is positive news for a BFP. But I'm wondering if anyone else got these tingly sensations in early pregnancy. (As I type my lips are starting to tingle)

I'm out of the country for work and I'm actually a bit nervous they could be something more sinister.

Thanks in advance,

LO

Hellooo of I remember rightly I had the metallic taste for days before I did my first response test and got a very feint line at approx 9 dpo. I felt 'different' if that makes sense? My friend had tingling in her nipples so I think it does happen. Can you get a test from anywhere?

LittleOwlie · 03/12/2013 13:10

Hi Emily,

Thanks! I might go in search of a pharmacy after work. It's annoying as I just bought some tests to do at home once I hit 14 DPO. But they aren't with me now of course ??. Up to yesterday I was convinced it wasn't our month and now I feel so strange, I'm either PG or ill.

I had the wobbly/light headed thing too, also about 9 days dpo and 5 days pre bfp. Also had the metallic thing. Both were rotten!

I also had more discharge (creamy) than usual.

best of luck- try and wait until the day you're due to test if you can!

LittleOwlie · 03/12/2013 13:52

Thanks ChicaMomma! I have been feeling quite wobbly and shaky. Was a bit worried I was going to faint earlier when I was walking between offices. And now my nose is bleeding, only lightly. But this never happens to me. I'm falling apart today ??

Will resist testing for the moment. I don't want the disappointment of a BFN.

HI littleOwlie - I had a dizziness sensation well before my AF was due and kept feeling like I was going to topple over and this would come and go throughout the day

also I had the metallic taste thing before I did an HPT - I would do a test if you can

fingers crossed for you :) xx

Hi Blueskies,

Thanks. I am going to try to resist testing for a few more days.

Hope all is going well for you! I followed your thread on the conceptions board and am so happy you got good news! Fx for a lovely and uneventful PG for you. Who knows if I'm lucky this month, I might be able to come and join you on the August AN thread. Grin

Hey Everyone,

All has evened out now. I still have a bit of tingles and my pee breaks have got better (I was going every 30 mins and needed more frequent, but in meetings). Now I wonder if I didn't imagine it all. I know I didn't. But maybe they're nothing. I could have a Winter sick bug. If so...sorry for being a pain to everyone.

I've had a horrid TTC journey. I'm 40 now. I put off TTC til I was in a stable situation. Then I went through horrid infertility in my marriage. Not my fault...but it was horrific none the less. I ended up in divorce as my IVF letter came through. It's taken me time to find another person to try again with.

I so want a family of my own. I'm so scared it won't happen now. Sorry for getting in a state. I know Im a bit of a mess but will update the thread with good or bad news.

Thanks again

LO

The first thing that made me wonder "am I pregnant?" this time round was pins and needles in my arms about a week after conception. I don't know if there is a reason for this, or just coincidence, but you never know!

Sorry to hear that you've had a terrible TTC journey. I really hope you get some good news.

It's so much easier said than done, I know, but try not to symptom spot too much. There was one month I was so convinced I was pregnant I would have bet money on it, but I was wrong. Try and wait it out for a missed period before you test. I know, I know, that's really hard to do, but otherwise you'll be analysing every tiny thing every few weeks.

Good luck, hope you get a BFP soon :-)

blueskies19 · 03/12/2013 23:47

ahw big hugs to you - Im so sorry to hear what a tough time its been for you LittleOwlie - I really do hope it works out for you very quickly

I will keep everything crossed for you that you get a bfp soon xx

LittleOwlie · 04/12/2013 02:44

Thanks Borrower! I really meant not to symptom spot...but it all went out of the window on my very first new 2WW!

To be honest, I started feeling so weird I was worried there was something really wrong with me. Not PG related.

I will try to go back to being good and not read too much in to everything. Wink

Blueskies, thanks Hun. We all have our own journeys, and I bet in scheme of things it all evens out. Our TTC journeys have been hard in differing ways but hard none the less. But I know I'm blessed in many other ways.

Gonna be a good girl and will try to stop being a TTC nightmare Shock Grin
