Faint test result

I bought some of those 3 for a £1 test strips, Simply Clear or something... I am due on in 1-2 days but, have the "pregnant" feeling, have had it for 2 weeks. I had a faint pink line in all 3 tests.... Was wondering if anyone had any experience with these tests? I don't know what to think? I have a history of ovarian cysts.

sounds like you are pregnant! but to be sure I would wait another couple days and take another test or go doctors for confirmation.

JasMumOfFour · 02/12/2013 19:20

it's so faint, I can barely see it and my partner is convinced it is negative

hey there!

I teste 2 days before and got a very faint line, but a line is a line! Im now 37 weeks :)

You mentioned something about ovarian cysts? I don't know do they tend to make tests positive for no reason? If thats the case a blood test or scan is your best option but if not, I would test again first thing in the morning and if its positive again chances are you are pregnant!

Also forgot to say mine took at least 10 mins to go positive! I initially thought it was neg and came back in the room randomly at leats 15 mins later and it was positive !

SweetPea86 · 02/12/2013 19:33

I asked the same question 20 weeks ago and I got congratulations a line is a line hehe

Congraulations Hun x

JasMumOfFour · 02/12/2013 20:48

wasn't exactly the plan :o/

I got lots of extremely faint lines so I took a first responce and got a BFP straight away.
Try a different test in case they are evaperation lines.
Good luck.

JasMumOfFour · 02/12/2013 21:38

I will test again in a few days, my other half says there is no point discussing it until we know for certain. he just says that he doesn't want another one.

I posted the same thing last year. BFP was so faint, DP didn't think it was positive. My twins are now 14 months old Grin

Congratulations!

Get a pack of two from tesco first thing tomorrow.!!!

How exciting. Please come back and update.

JasMumOfFour · 03/12/2013 09:48

the result was slightly darker this morning, I would like to keep it if I am pregnant, I know once the baby is here I will love it as much as my other children, wanted pregnancy or not... my partner is ringing me every 5 minutes asking what we are going to do and it is driving me mad

OP posts:
wispaxmas · 03/12/2013 10:54

Does your partner want to terminate, then? And you obviously don't. Is his reasoning due to finances? Whatever his reasoning, it's something you need to discuss together. He can't force you to terminate, but it might effect your relationship quite a bit if he really desperately doesn't want another child. I would say that if he really didn't want any more children, he should've gotten snipped.

JasMumOfFour · 03/12/2013 13:11

yes he does, at first he was saying we wouldn't discuss it till we had a definite line, now he won't leave me alone, keep asking what are "we" going to do. I am frightened to tell him I want to keep it incase he accuses me of doing this on purpose. I was on the pill you see. We only had sex once in the last month too, it's ridiculous.

This will be our 5th baby and, never have I had that joy of being pregnant, always him wanting me to terminate. Never any interest in my pregnancy. he loves them once they are here and he is a good father. I have told him that I will not be terminating now, I feel fiercely protective of this little life inside me and cannot do it to please him. Any words of support will be greatly appreciated as I will not be telling anyone for a while. It is safe to say that, there will be a lot of negative reactions as there was last time. I feel so alone and unhappy.

My husband is the same! This is my 7th pregnancy and 4th baby (fc) and my last. My oh has always made pregnancy awful.

Rise above the comments - my oh also loves them tons when they are here in the flesh.

Hi im sorry I don't have much advice regarding your partner but plenty of experience of the negative comments. I fell pregnant when my dc3 was 8 weeks old (comolete shock, solut condom and morning after pill) well it turned out to be twins and everyone thought they had a right to comment! !

People can be so rude. Ignore them and concentrate on your self and children, unfortunately they will move on to someone else soon.

JasMumOfFour · 03/12/2013 16:46

wow! that must have been a handful lol I know what you mean though, especially when you are frightened enough yourself and what you need is for people to be supportive! My mum said it wasn't too late for abortion when I was nearlt 5 months with my second and called me an idiot with my third... think i will call her, tell her and then hang up

OP posts:
wispaxmas · 03/12/2013 17:12

Umm, I'm sorry, but if he would possibly think that you planned this, doesn't that show that he doesn't trust you? And if you're afraid to tell him, are you afraid to be open with him about other things? These are quite big red flags for a relationship..

Anyways, if he accuses you of planning it, tell him it takes two to fricking tango and the pill isn't 100% effective! he should've worn a love glove.

Not wanting to terminate doesn't mean it was planned. If he continues to insist that you terminate I suggest you evaluate your relationship with him.

ladythatlunches · 03/12/2013 20:13

Yes it is still very hard (I've had a bad day today) there still little (twins nearly 2, toddler nearly 3 and older ones) some days like today I think why o why! But they are healthy, clean and very happy children always smiling laughing and have everything they need, so it is no one elses business at all!!!

My mum was never that bad but if im having abad day and call her she will just say you wanted these kids get on with it, which is hard as dh works so much and hardly ever here!

Im rambling but just here to say I have 5 and practically do it all myself, yes it's hard but there is so much more positives than negatives .. tell everyone else to stuff off!!

JasMumOfFour · 03/12/2013 20:49

He brought home some other tests, asda brand... still a very faint line, i am not used to that, usually I get a very clear result. He is being absolutely fine at the moment, and I do now remember having a conversation with him while I was pregnant with our 4th... he had seemed a lot less stressed. I remember him saying that, the birth of our first terrified him and, both me and baby nearly died with my second... he said he was scared to go through it again. I asked him why he didn't just tell me that when we were arguing about whether or not to keep them and he said he didn't know... So maybe, it will be better this time. Also We never ever argue.. so I really can't handle it if we do

ladythatlunches · 03/12/2013 21:45

Very strange. . Is it any darker than last one?

JasMumOfFour · 04/12/2013 07:36

It's no darker this morning with my first urine either, I feel very sick though but, I'm exhausted... my other half kept me up till 1am and when our daughter woke up at 4am he started then too. I absolutely broke my heart telling him how I feel and he showed no sign of emotion at all.. like he is trying to manipulate me.

I'm no expert but, I know your levels are supposed to double every day, I should be due on today.

OP posts:
JasMumOfFour · 04/12/2013 08:08

I haven't even managed to get the children up yet, my mind is a whirlwind, I don't know what to think... I don't want to hurt him but, he is just being so matter of fact. He just rang again and I said that to him, "you aren't being supportive to me or how I feel at all, there is no emotion to you, you have just decided what you want and that is that" If anything, that just makes me angry... I know another baby was not the plan but, seriously, what difference is one more going to make now?

OP posts:
ladythatlunches · 04/12/2013 09:19

Oh jas :( he really isn't making it any easier for you at the moment.

About 3 years ago.i had these faint lines. . Wouldn't get darker. Unfortunately it was a chemical pregnancy!

But saying that with the twins I had the same and had my hcg levels checked and they weren't doubling at all, I was told to expect a mc but everything was fine.

Well im here if you want to talk anytime
