Twice in the last 24 hours I've had a little 'gush' (sorry) of watery fluid. Has resulted in a wet patch maybe the size of a 50p in my knickers. (Sorry again.) And then it stops and nothing else obvious coming out for some time. Did notice today that the mark it left on the liner I was wearing was a very faint yellow.

Nothing major appears to have prompted it, just pottering about as usual. It doesn't seem to have a strong smell although I've been using a panty liner which is scented so I guess might be hiding a smell?

Is this normal increase in discharge or should I be worrying? I'm massively over-anxious about being pregnant so very aware that I over-analyse everything. My midwife isn't contactable now so it would be a call to labour ward. Necessary? Keep till morning?

Thanks!

Ps. 26 weeks tomorrow.

It could be just a heavy discharge, I had this the whole way through my first pregnancy. I think unless it has a very strong smell and/or is a funny colour there's nothing to be worried about but perhaps use a proper unscented pad for a day or so to ve on tbe safe side.

I think you should call the labour ward for advice - better to be safe.

OP I have this but much more (ie pants always wet by end if the day, much more than a 50p piece). It's also faint yellow and watery.

I've had it since 20 weeks and had it last time too. It's just discharge in my case but I did get it checked out in 2010 when I was first pregnant. If you're worried call midwife tomorrow.

Are you sure it'S not just wee?!! I had a fair few accidents when in the last trimester!

lastnightopenedmyeyes · 01/12/2013 21:28

Cat speak for op but I can definitely confirm it's not urine in my case :)

Thanks all. Don't think it's wee as I've had that too and it's definitely different. Nothing more tonight so going to call the midwife first thing. Hoping I'm like lastnight and it's just discharge.

Thanks MatryoshkaDoll. Did you get the, ahem, 'gush' with it too?

Sounds like me!!

I'm 23 weeks and this has been happening for the last 3 or 4 weeks.

One minute I feel dry and then suddenly my underwear feels very wet. When I get to the bathroom to check their is always a very wet area, maybe about the size of a £2 coin - it is clear, watery fluid. It happens maybe once a day.

I now typically wear a panty liner every day though that has it's downsides as it's making my skin around my groin really dry and sore. I have some discharge most days but only a slight lemon coloured stain. It doesn't smell offensive so I don't worry about it too much.
