Getting through last 9 weeks!

First of all I would just like to say I'm so incredibly grateful to be pregnant and know how lucky I am! Smile now prepare for a bit of a rant!

That being said, I have no idea how I'm going to get through the next 9 weeks Hmm I'm in constant agony due to severe SPD. I have feet constantly wedged under my ribs and they are in so much pain, like they are being pulled apart! I am having Braxton Hicks throughout the day and have been for the past 2 weeks and now I'm getting sharp pain in the top of my bump and baby thinks my cervix is a fun place to kick! Now this morning I've woken up to swollen fingers Hmm someone tell me how I'm going to get through the next nine weeks?! Any advice?

No advice just misery loves company. Do you have other children or is this your first? I have a 3 year old and as much as he is tiring me out he is keeping me going and reminding me it's all so worth it Grin

I'll hold your hand, I've also got 9 weeks left, SPD and at the moment the most painful piles ever :( I haven't slept well in ages, last night was the worst yet.
9 more weeks of this, maybe more as I went overdue with my others, it's not fun at the moment.
I also have the rib pain as baby is breech and her head is wedged right in there.

Hi all!
40+1 here. Not sure how I have managed the last 10 weeks but I have! Fustrated isn't the word!!! Severe spd has now left me house bound and unable to really do anything and likewise with firebox I have had the most horrendous piles! So bad I am so anxious about giving birth with them I had to go and see a consultant. Thoroughly hacked off now and losing any form of patience I had! Come in baby I need my body back!!!
Feel all of your pain- but I'm trying to tell myself it IS worth it although no signs of his baby coming soon :(
Hand holding to all of you!

Thanks ladies, good to know I'm. It alone! Rib pain seems to have eased off a bit today but now he seems so low down I feel like I need to hold him in!

This is my first baby, don't know how I would manage with a toddler running around!!

Hello I sympathise & empathise. 32w here, SPD & 3yo to contend with.

Just started to feel really uncomfortable. I had been coping ok despite the pain, sickness tiredness & not being able to walk at the end of the day. I still felt better than this time last pregnancy.

Now like Lola I don't know how I'm going to get through next 8 weeks. Still got to work til jan but that's only 12 days in the office and its easier than being at home not able to do any of the baby prep things I'd like to do.

Also too much is falling on dh as I'm a useless lump now and he's doing a bad job so I'm just nagging him all the time.

Baby kicks all the time (which is good but bad) and feel sick constantly.

How does anyone else with SPD get anything done?!?

Shellywelly1973 · 01/12/2013 23:45

Oh I feel much the same! Im 31 weeks. Dc6. Will /have to work for as long as possible...

Turned the calendar today & literally shit myself! Dc with SN finish school in 2 weeks. Christmas, house, work etc...its all too much!

SPD now hideous. Useless mw has messed up my referral for physio. Im so big I barely can reach the pedals in the car!

Playboxpony · 02/12/2013 14:13

Hi, sorry no real proper advice or suggestions here either I'm afraid as I am also reaching that really fed up stage. I'm 31 weeks, still working full time up until mid Jan, also got a 3 yr old DS. I am so sick of the constant back/pelvic niggles, the not being able to sleep or turn in bed easily, not being able to bend over, baby doing somersaults in my stomach ALL THE TIME, the dizziness that i sometimes get, peeing all the time, not being able to slouch on the sofa like I used to, forgetfulness, people saying how big I am...grrrr... And hubbie informed me this morning I've also recently developed a lovely deep, almost mannish like snore of a night... nice!

I have realised in the last week or so that I really do have to slow it down a bit though, and that's actually helped a bit. I'm taking things alot more slowly and don't stress so much now if I am 10 mins late for work, or if the house isn't as tidy as it usually is etc. It's not the end of the world.

Also, like lastnightopenedmyeyes, trying to remind myself that it will all be worth it very shortly once the baby is here and I will have a gorgeous newborn snuggling into my neck again. And things like being able to eat soft cheese, enjoying red wine, having g&ts, meeting up with mum friends for coffee...IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY!! I'm also in the middle of trying to orgnaise the baby's room which is distracting me quite well.

Good luck to you all! x

Such a relief knowing I'm not the only one, I have a lot of pregnant friends who seem to manage so well!

My dad told me today that I'm 'so fat' and my 'arse is huge' Sad Didn't make me feel any better, especially as I thought I was doing so well with the weight gain and thought I was mostly baby.

To those with SPD, will you be waiting to go into labour naturally? I have scoliosis as well and I find out on 16th if they have to induce me or give me a section. Does anyone have any experience?

Lola with regards to spd it has never been mentioned otherwise so natural planned for me - must admit I'm slightly apprehensive about it but sure mw knows best and it is so common. Just hope this baby hurries up- am now 40+2 and really struggling!

Shellywelly1973 · 02/12/2013 22:36

In my experience your better off having as natural a labour as possible... stay away from stirrups at all costs!!

I will limit how long I bf for as well as the hormones are a massive factor for me.

Naomilouise1992 · 03/12/2013 21:27

9 weeks left too! I can't stop smelling bleach and shaking shake and vac ANY EXCUSE. I've had bad back ache and feel like my ribs are snapping. Resorted to hardly wearing bras (not doing much help tbh) xxx

Emmallie · 03/12/2013 21:33

32 weeks and also in need of a rant. At hospital more days than not and hoping I can get somewhere near term. Feel rotten half the time.

Just moaning empathising Grin

FizzlingFireboxes · 01/01/2014 19:41
