13 week scan worries

st had my 13 week scan and reading notes at bottom: they mention 2 'thick membranes, ?placental edge membranes or ?amniotic bands'. They didn't mention these to me at the time but I've now googled both and sounds like 1st possibility could be sign of a circumvallate placenta (not good) and 2nd could be v bad indeed. They apparently aren't currently entangling the foetus in any way, but I'm now v worried, feeling very down about my pregnancy and generally rubbish. Has anyone else had these things, and if so what happened? Not seeing mw for another 4 weeks so nobody to ask if I'm making a fuss for nothing or not!

I'd give your mw a call in the morning. Even if you're not due to see her for a while, these are the sort of things she should help explain. You can't carry on with the worry. I know both of those things you mention can have serious implications so can understand your concern, and telling you not to worry won't help. Have some and and take care- do please speak to your mw.

Put the mouse down and step away from the keyboard! Google will never help you, as sick says call your midwife they will explain everything and its so easy to misunderstand things in notes. Congratulations on your baby and concentrate on good things until you can talk to your midwife, stressing yourself out wont help you and seriously I know its hard but try to stay away from google its killed me a million times since being pregnant alone lol
