Sorry to be blunt but I'm getting more discharge than normal since I found out I was pregnant, this is normal apparently, but (please excuse this) is it supposed to be smelly? Blush It's a bit like period blood - I'm so sorry to gross people out! No one else, from what I can tell have noticed, I'm just embarrassed to sit down next to people sometimes. It's not an infection as I've been tested not so long ago and I do keep clean down there! I'm still in the first trimester

I would pop to the gp as soon as you can. It may be simply that you're more sensitive to smell or it may need treatment. You can have unusual discharge for all sorts of reasons, no one will think you're not keeping clean down there so don't worry about that.

When you say like period do you mean texture, scent or isthere blood in the discharge?

More discharge than usual is normal. But if it's a funny colour or smell you should go and get it checked out. I'd book an appointment with your GP. It may be nothing to worry about but better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks for the replies. When I say it's like period blood I mean when it smells. However, I did have a little blood in the discharge on the days I noticed a little whiff, very slightly pink one day but next few days it was fine.
