I think I have gone a bit over the top with washing fruit (proper OCD). So worried I have gone off fruit.. which is stupid as I know its good. Sounds stupid probably - but are you ladies eating fruit? I have a lovely washed bowl of blueberries in fount of me and I would love to eat them haha!

love

You should definitely be eating fruit! Just wash it like you normally would.

Julietee · 28/11/2013 14:26

Yes. I don't even bother to do more than a rinse.

Middleagedmotheroftwo · 28/11/2013 14:28

We don't even bother to rinse. Blush

Eat things like bananas, kiwis, melons, oranges and pineapples- they have skins!

i'm eating a rake of fruit, have a real craving for it every morning. Have a ruby grapefruit and some melon most mornings!

TheSlug · 28/11/2013 15:10

I only rinse grapes- and I eat a lot of fruit!

LastOneDancing · 28/11/2013 16:04

I rinse.

But I really wouldnt be too concerned at all unless you're picking stuff off the tree. Big producers for tesco, asda etc will normally rinse produce (because people are squeamish about bugs in their apples!).

rachyconks · 28/11/2013 16:07

Never wash fruit, even for my 1yo DD. Hate eating wet fruit. Might rinse if dirt is visible. Been ok so far...

ChicaMomma · 28/11/2013 16:07

The big producers like asda and tesco also spray pesticides though lastonedancing- that would be my worry!

mixi82 · 28/11/2013 17:03

Chica, my mum had a craving for ruby grapefruit and swore blind she was going to have a boy - she was right!

I'm enjoying mixed seedless grapes at the moment, I'm quite particular with any dirt, nicks, bruises on fruit so I make sure they are rinsed properly

ChicaMomma · 28/11/2013 17:09

Oh good mixi, i really want a boy!!!!
Seedless grapes are so tasty. It's as close as any of us will get to wine for a while lol!

Thanks everyone - yes it was the pesticides that had me worried but seems that giving a good rinse should do the trick x mmmm grapes
