Discovered I had piles I am only 15 weeks, obviously went to the toilet and saw blood so it's made me paranoid! Has a mmc in July & couldn't go through that again.. Anyone gone through this?

What is a mmc? I think that piles are pretty common in pregnancy from what I know.

Hi Samantha I had piles for the first time a week or two ago, I'm 20wks now. I had to google it to check that's what it was (that google image search is not for the faint hearted) and was scared at first but read up on it and it's so common in pregnancy I decided not to worry. Mine was only small and I read somewhere that if they're only sticking out a little bit you can try and push it back in.. I had nice warm baths and that helped the soreness and mine actually only hurt for a few days. Am fully expecting to get them again though cos baby is playing havoc with my digestive system!

So basically - don't worry, it's normal. Get a cream from your pharmacist to soothe them, and if they're particularly severe and bothering you for a while then pop to your GP for advice. They'll probably just make sure you're eating well anyway.

Hope you feel better soon. Pregnancy is so glamourous, isn't it?

Yes the charming things are quite recognisable Wink

Lactulose is your friend right now. You can get it for free on prescription and it'll soften things up and make going to the toilet less painful.

Yep I've got one too (got it at about 30w). Pregnancy is glamourous! It's nothing to worry about
