Irregular shaped fetal pole

Hi all, so I went for my (what I calculated as..but complicated period cycle) my 8week scan today at the epu following some light bleeding. This was the second scan they had given me, the first one they had seen a gestational and yolk sac. In the one today they saw a fetal pole but there was no heartbeat and they said that the fetal pole was irregularly shaped.

I am having another scan next week, should I be preparing myself for the worst? X

I'm not sure about the fetal pole thing but I think it's quite normal for them to not hear a heartbeat yet at 8weeks.at your next appt make sure they explain it to you in full and don't leave til you understand! Best of luck.

Hi, I’m really worried and would like any opinions on what’s happening with me right now, I’m 5 weeks pregnant, I went for a scan because I had some cramping to see if it was ectopic pregnancy or not, they told me baby’s in womb the sac and yolk is there but the fetal pole is irregular shape and they are not sure if that’s because it’s stopped developing and which could lead to miscarriage or it’s just to early to see properly, I have another scan in 9 days but really anxious thanks to anyone who can advice me
