Hi, I'm 7 weeks pregnant and i started bleeding 2 weeks ago I had a vaginal scan 3 weeks ago and bled a few days later so I went back for another and they said they don't know what the cause is, and it is fine. but I have continued bleeding and it had been 14 days now and there isn't any clots just sometimes super small ones, does anyone know why this could be?

i had the same! i'm pregnant with my 4th baby and have bled with all of them, but this latest one was the worst.
they never could tell what it was, but i've had 3 healthy babies so far, and hoping for a 4th!

it's veryh worrying though isn't it? this time mine lasted for quite a few weeks, on and off. makes it all v. stressful. It had stopped by the time I had my 12 week scan and all was looking good then, and they still couldn't see any cause for concern thankfully

I had that with dd3. I started bleeding at 6 ish wks, went to a+e and had an internal scan which showed a sac and next to it a clot. I was told sometimes it happens. Had another scan a few wks later and saw a blob with a heartbeat. That blob is now a bouncy 5yr old. Sorry, i couldnt be helpfull.

I'm seeing the midwife tomorrow it's just hard because I never know why! I just hope everything is okay, this will be my first child and I am only 18 at the moment and as I am only 7 week I am scared a bit just want the reassurance that everything is okay!

thanks mamachelle!
just need some reassurance because as I say I'm sure it shouldn't last 14 days it's weird to me as I'm only young I find it hard

it can last a while unfortunately.

i also know 2 people who had very, very big bleeds later on and went on to have healthy babies, so it doesn't always mean a bad outcome

Hi Rebecca, I bled at 7 weeks, 10 weeks and 14 weeks. Baby was fine each time and I'm now 23 weeks pregnant. As worrying as it is, bleeding does not always mean bad news. Good luck with your appointment tomorrow and I hope you get your reassurance Thanks
