I'm in third trimester with my 3rd dc. I've put on around 2 stone but feel massive every where arms, face, legs etc this time round.

Anyone else feel similar and what do you do to make yourself feel better?

Only thing I'm fitting in is leggings and stretchy dresses. I have my Xmas party next week and can't find a single thing to wear :,(

Any suggestions would be great x

I am not too worried about my body but I am not keen on the many chins I seem to have grown Blush There are now (at 30 weeks) only a few outfits I still fit in but I only have to look presentable for another couple of weeks and then I can float about in smocks or wear joggies until I give birth.

Sleepthief · 27/11/2013 21:41

33 weeks with DC4 and a LOT bigger than when I started - I've even got chubby toes FGS; I can't understand it of course it has nothing to do with copious amounts of cake and Nutella, oh no. I'm just dreaming of being able to rein in my sugar habit and finally fit back into my size 10s. I lost it all each time before (my dietary off switch appears to fuse as soon as I get a positive test Hmm), so I'm sure I will do again.Just not really enjoying it this time...

Anyway, no tips for feeling better, but I feel your pain Smile

Oh god join the club! I hate not fitting into my normal clothes, having a waist etc. getting dressed in the morning is such a challenge especially for work. Can't spend a fortune on maternity stuff though - just not worth it!

Had forgotten I felt like this with dd1. Can't face another three months of fatness followed by post baby fatness but no choice about it.

What makes it worse is people keep saying I am small for 27/28 weeks but i want to say "what are you talking about? I'm a whale!"

2Labradors · 28/11/2013 09:09

Just wanted to say that I've been exactly the same, I'm expecting DC3. I do still feel like this but I'm on mat leave now, as due tomorrow, so can hide away a bit now.

I've been living in leggings and stretchy dresses over the top to hide my HUGE arse. I was especially upset when I got too big for one of my favourite maternity work dresses, I ended up going to H&M and buying a huge tent like thing, but it live in it now as it's so comfy.

I have lots of long cardigans too which will be fab for covering my post baby body

I can't zip up my boots either so am doing the school run in silly slip on shoes, in the cold & rain grrrr

HeadlessHeadmistress · 28/11/2013 09:46

Yep. I have 2 stretchy dresses that I alternate.

And leggings.

And cardigans, but I can't fasten them up.

I only wear a bra when I leave the house, as my bump sits right under my boobs so it digs in. If I wear a bra with a bigger back size its clearly too big and offers no support so I figured I may as well not bother.

Trousers, jeans and skirts no longer stay up :(

On the positive side my socks and knickers still fit :)

And luckily my shoes still fit too - first time I was pregnant my feet went up a size and I had to buy new shoes as well as everything else.

HeadlessHeadmistress · 28/11/2013 09:50

PS. I have no suggestions for xmas party wear. I'm not going to mine :(

How smart do you have to be and how much money do you have to throw at it?

Cariad007 · 28/11/2013 09:56

Try Seraphine for Xmas party wear. They have a section called Luxe which isn't cheap but has some gorgeous dresses.

Hollyjokes · 28/11/2013 10:17

I was massive last Christmas and got a nice maternity dress from ASOS for my work do. Also try eBay for nice maternity bits from as little as 99p. I'm recently pg with DC2 and am going to be where you are next summer (in the heat!) Confused

SeeYouNT · 28/11/2013 11:15

i feel like this OP so i sympathise

and i am only 19 weeks! (20 weeks tomorrow)

Xenadog · 28/11/2013 11:20

I've outgrown some of my maternity clothes - how did that happen?

OP I know exactly how you feel. Hopefully I only have 2 weeks to go but then it's the post pregnancy fat I have to deal with.

Have a look at the New Look web site as they do a variety of party wear and it's cheap as no one wants to spend much money on clothes you will only wear once do they?

WhisperMen · 28/11/2013 11:24

Primark have some maternity jeans that are super comfy and cheap. I got some the other day after having a melt down about only having leggings and dresses to wear.

I discovered yesterday that my feet have got so swollen thanks to water retention it is now uncomfortable to wear socks. SOCKS! I ended up with christmas pudding indents from them in my feet Grin

Chin up OP it'll be worth it in the end, isn't that what they say?

Naomilouise1992 · 28/11/2013 15:49

I am sick to death of wearing leggins and a jumper or vest! My partner wants us to go for a drink with his girl mate that iv never met and it's anoying me as I'm gunna feel very out I place, fat frumpy stuck in leggins and I can't have a drink!

So tmra I'm gunna go and get some clip in hair extensions (don't think I'll look after the ones in properly in the can't be assed mood I'm in) gunna try find something pretty and put bit of slap on! I'm living in my pjs at home! Xxx
