What gender by heartrate? (old wives tale fun)

We're not finding out the sex of our baby, but having fun guessing!! I've felt boy since day 1.
We didn't get a nub to look at on the scans. And by skull theory I think boy and DH thinks girl. Everyone else is 50-50 too.

Up till now baby's heart rate has always been 140 so never been able to guess gender. But today it's 148 which by the old wives tales says girl!!

I don't read anything much into this (lets face it, its a 50-50 of being right!!), but just for a bit of light heartedness, does any theory work for anyone?

Nope mine's heart rate has always been fast (160) and expecting a boy so didn't work for me.

What is skull theory??

DD's was above 140 and lo, she is a girl.

Pinkbell, skull theory is where you look at the skull, if it is totally rounded its a girl, if there is a flattened forehead then it's a boy.

4 different midwives told me I was having a girl based on the heartbeat...11 month old DS is most certainly a boy!

The 2 midwives I've seen have guessed girl by baby's heartbeat, but we've had 2 scans that show a boy, the last being at 34 weeks and her words were 'definitely some testicles there'

So the consensus so far seems to be that this theory doesn't work!!!!

The midwives all thought girl going by heart rate, even when I was in labour. It was a boy.

My auntie (a midwife) told me it's 70% accurate! Other midwife and doctor said it's a load of rubbish though. I haven't found out the sex and sometimes below 140 and sometimes over, so no way to tell anyway!
