hiya, wondering if anyone has had a similar experience?

I'm 8 weeks pregnant and have found a lump in my breast!!! i went to the doctors today expecting them to tell me its nothing to worry about and send me on my way but they are referring me to the hospital for more tests. It's really worrying me! anyone else had a similar experience?

I found a lump a couple of days before I realised I was pregnant. Gp suspected pregnancy was cause of it but referred me to be sure.
Had ultrasound & consultant was 99% sure pregnancy related too & did biopsy to confirm.
It was fine.
I'm not sure how common it is and it's a real worry but fingers crossed for you.

Before I was pregnant I was referred for testing due to a lump and was told it was hormonal so I'm sure with all the hormones pregnancy can bring it must happen a lot.
Hope that's the case for you x

Thank you for your responses. I'm sure it is hormonal (fingers crossed!)

it's most likely hormonal, I have two lumps that flare up every month before my period. I have very lumpy breasts and have had 3 trips to the breast clinic for ultrasound/mammogram etc. I had a biopsy on one occasion, didn't hurt at all. Little bit of discomfort when they gave me a local anesthetic, didn't feel anything after that. A needle was inserted to take some cells from the lump. I didn't look! I had a couple of paper stitches which came off in the shower the next day. No scarring at all.

Fingers crossed it's nothing to worry about

Hey,
I found one at 15 weeks pregnant on my honeymoon . Was referred to specialist after ultrasound but it was fine- caused by hormonal changes so don't panic. I think it is a lot more common than you'd think! Hope it all goes ok but honestly don't panic !
