1st trimester misery

This is my 2nd pregnancy I'm 11 weeks. Having such a horrible time right now, constant nausea 24/7, vomiting alot, dodgy tummy like im going to have the runs.

Just so unbelievably miserable I'm finding it hard to cope getting up everyday. I had a scan last week and the baby is thankfully ok, but I'm starting to really regret getting pregnant (this was planned).

I just want this bit to be over, my poor little DD needs a mum who can play with her and have energy to take her out, at the minute im just a slovenly mess trying to get through the day without breaking down.

Sorry I just had to write this down, I know a lot of people who have severe HG are alot worse off but I just don't understand why this has to be so hard :(

Feel free to share your first trimester woes, can't share a Brew though as it makes me violently sick.

Hi Mixi. I wish I could advise on the sleep thing, but I'm in the same boat too. So tired, yet I just can't sleep. I seem to be waking up at night feeling nauseous though. Great that you're managing to drink lots of fluids though. Feel free to have a good moan whenever you like.

whereisthewitch, funnily enough I was thinking the same about the labour, and I was unlucky enough not to be able to take any drugs apart from gas and air (ds was too impatient to be born to allow me to stay still enough for epidural and was fully dilated by that point). Glad that you're feeling a bit better though. Hope the sickness stays away. Do as little housework as possible though and concentrate on yourself if you can (easier said than done, I know).

I've been a little better yesterday and today too. Not sure if it's down to snacking on grapes or not taking my Seven Seas vitamin or what. Sure I'll be vomiting again soon though. Oh rats, DS is awake from his nap and whinging. I'd better go and see to him.

Thanks for replies Smile makes me feel a little better. I had a small bowl of dry Ricicles by my bed last night and when I woke up feeling hungry, I just stuffed a load of them in my mouth! Worked quite well actually so may try that again tonight. Got offered a jaffa cake today and I don't think I've eaten one that slowly before. Felt better after it though. Having serious heartburn tonight though, at least i think that's what it is - getting a burning sensation at the bottom of my throat, it's so annoying, feels like food wants to erupt! I've been drinking milk which helps and makes me burp loads, but anything else I could take that's safe?

If the heartburn becomes unbearable ask for ranitidine,I took I when pg with dd and it was a life saver. ..I couldn't bear that chalky stuff you drink (can't remember the name of it).

I find milk turns my stomach, have been avoiding it but cheese seems to be ok. I had a ham cheese and boiled egg on toast today and actually managed to enjoy it, it tends to be this time of the day when I can't face eating.
Try pretzels, ready salted crisps, apples and grapes, mini cheddars and that sort of stuff. I put squash or flat lemonade in the freezer til it goes all slushy, enjoy drinking that the most. I'm just praying that this passes by Christmas I'll be gutted if I can't eat my Christmas dinner and just stuff my face in general.

charlie I stopped the vitamins too as even taking them made me gag.

At the minute I seem to be having alternate good and bad days so fully expecting to feel like hell tomorrow.

Hi ladies, I was coming on this thread to moan too but it sounds like you're all worse than me, do I shouldn't!

I'm 8+ weeks with DC2. Last time I remember being knackered and nauseous, but this time - ugh, I just feel sick constantly! Today was my first day of actual violent vomiting coupled with diarrhoea - wondered if I had a tummy bug, but no, think it was just a bad day. Took day off work and barely left couch, felt bit better after nap, but it's coming bsck again, so think I'll head to bed soon!!

I remember suddenly feeling better at 11 weeks last time, so I'm clinging on to that thought!!

Hope you all feel better soon
