My friend has just been taken into hospital - she is 36 weeks. I'm SO worried about her... Please tell me lots of stories about good outcomes of they have to induce or C section or whatever...! This is her first and I haven't had mine yet either so I have no experience to refer to!

I don't have any specific stories but 37 weeks is considered 'full term' so I wouldn't be that worried if she'd just gone into labour?

At 36 weeks, she's not far off full term. My friend had twins by CS at 37 weeks and all are fine. My cousin gave birth at 37 weeks and her little girl (now aged 3) was also absolutely fine. Anecdotal evidence I know but it's true.

Your friend is in the best possible place that she can be right now. Do try not to worry :)

Oh good, that's what I was hoping to hear! Can't help worrying - I've had so many friends who have MC'd that it's beginning to feel like there's some sort of curse! I'm only 9wks and stressing madly so not au fait yet with the later stages.

Baby will be fine! I had a scar couple weeks ago DVD the consultant said after 34 weeks babies are fine if they come early! Please don't worry xx

I hope your friend and her baby are ok.

I was born at 34 weeks gestation in an emergency because the cord was around my neck so tightly and my heart rate was low.

I was just fine - all I needed was a bit of oxygen when I first came out.

I'm now 27 with no ill effects from my birth so it can work out just fine xx

Baby born. All fine! Thanks everyone!
